APPEA National Oil and Gas Workforce Development and Productivity Conference – "enhancing skills and productivity for Australia".
The inaugural APPEA National Oil and Gas Workforce Development and Productivity Conference was held at the Darwin Convention and Exhibition Centre from 17-19 July 2012.
This event brought together industry leaders, government representatives and workforce development/training professionals to share strategies that will deliver the workforce and skills required by the oil and gas sector for the next ten years. The conference also addressed ways to improve productivity for the oil and gas industry and Australia generally.
The Conference had the support of the Northern Territory Government, who hosted a welcoming function at Parliament House for delegates.
As with other APPEA events, the Workforce Development and Productivity Conference offered a forum for our industry's experts and practitioners to share ideas, best practice and innovation, as well as perspectives on how to best meet the workforce challenges and opportunities ahead.

The APPEA National Workforce Development and Productivity Conference is anticipated to attract between 200 and 300 delegates from across the industry.
Here, industry leaders, contractors, government, experts and other key stakeholders can share ideas and perspectives on the challenges and opportunities for enhancing skills and productivity across the oil and gas sector as the industry enters a period of rapid expansion.
